so beautiful.

a story for tomorrow:

This video was written and produced while traveling through Chile & Patagonia with my girlfriend. We spent 5 weeks exploring this amazing country, and this is how we chose to document it. Thanks so much for checking it out.

I’m in love.

alright, so… about this tattoo… creating a short/coherent explanation is so frustrating.
if you look closely you can see an eclipse: it’s the moon and a child. I’ve always had an affinity with the moon and the ocean.  The moon has taught me that life is meant to be lived with a sense of spiritual beauty and that life should be lived in phases (and though it may seem like I’ll never escape darkness, the moon is always teaching me “this is just a phase and this too shall pass”).   One of my favorite parts of the tattoo is how the child’s curly hair looks like the oceans’ waves.  The ocean has been a rejuivinating life force for me, I’ve always lived near the beach and whenever I had troubles I’d run to the beach and play with the waves and feel alive and refreshed.
I’m overcoming a dark period in my life and have recommitted myself to self-love and being a child of God, I scheduled this tattoo to commemorate the moment when I became as beautiful as the moon, the waves, and the spirit of God.  The day that I scheduled the tattoo I was so worried about what my family would say and what people would think of me.  That night I went to Bible study where we were reading 1 Corinthians 13 and discussing how God is love.  Out of nowhere the youth pastor said “Just like the moon is a reflection of the sun unto the earth so shall you be a reflection of God(love) unto the people.” At that moment I knew that I was meant to have it.
I know people who want to get more and more tattoos but, frankly, I’m very happy with this one. It’s absolutely beautiful and I know that it’s meaning will never fade from me.
